THE GLENN WILLIAMS ACADEMY Astonishingly, in 2010 I will be celebrating my 40th year in show business! It is true that singing and entertaining have been my passion for the past 3 1/2 decades, and I plan to exercise that passion, God permitting, for 3 1/2 more. Another passion of mine has always been education. Many of you are aware that I have been teaching in the Clark County School District here in Las Vegas, and relishing the experience. In the process, I have found that our valley is simply saturated with incredibly gifted and talented young performers whose potential is limitless. I believe that what is required to fulfill that potential, besides hard work and perseverance, is proper guidance and personalized education provided by experienced and knowledgeable professionals. I have been extremely fortunate in my career to have been under the tutelage of some of the most gifted educators the entertainment industry has to offer. As 2008 ascended, aided by the persistent and enthusiastic encouragement of my family and peers, I made the decision that the knowledge I have accumulated these many years should be passed along to a new generation of talented artists. So, it is with great anticipation and excitement that I announce the creation of the GLENN WILLIAMS ACADEMY. This establishment will afford me the opportunity to work one-on-one with a select group of talented individuals who possess the potential and desire to become polished singers and performers; designing and implementing a teaching strategy personally suited to that individuals goals and aspirations. The GLENN WILLIAMS ACADEMY will offer a complete and comprehensive combination of vocal and musical training, as well as extensive education in all facets in the art of performance. All training will emphasize that which is practical, applicable and relevant to the current musical climate. Advanced education will be available for those students who progress through the program more rapidly. I am excited to begin auditioning for the Spring enrollment. I have been blessed many times over in my musical career; embracing memories that will last my lifetime. If I should hold a key that may unlock a door that would enable some future performer to enjoy half of what I have experienced, than my efforts in this endeavor will certainly have been rewarded. Someone once said, "A teacher affects eternity; He can never tell where his influence stops..." For those in the industry that have influenced me, I am forever grateful.
